Update: Still alive!

It's a crazy week, and happy to finally find time to blog! Been working every night till late for my day job and for the garden club of my spouse. No quilting this week yet, as yesterday I was helping my spouse out with some stuff, and today I did my studying.

And I have to get back to you about something. Weight loss. It was all going very well, until my Achilles tendon acted up. Trying to get back to running has proofed to be a no go area. Since then my weight loss has stopped.
Every attempt to start running again, to get to my goal of running 10k, time and time again Achilles told me that running was not approved. My Achilles tendon requested kindly but firmly to quit running.

I thought about what to do, and to be honest, I am not a big fan of fitness, standing on tread mills and things like that. I want to be outside! Team sports, no option, as my schedule does not leave time for training on a fixed evening or matches in the weekend. What I liked about running is coming home, change my clothes and run out of the front door. So what to choose?

Well, here is my solution: an adult scooter! In the Netherlands we call this a step, a scooter is here a motorized vehicle, so I might mix the words up...

I've heard that riding a scooter is very intensive, so my weight loss should get back on track. Tomorrow it's Sunday, and that will be a day of tracking and tracing the class samples for Paducah.
Monday you will hear how my first scooter training went, and the result of tracking and tracing!

Have fun quilting!

  1. So sorry to hear about your Achilles tendon! And the "no running" thing. I know you were really doing well with that. The scooter looks interesting... never have seen one like that before.
