Quiltweek Paducah classes, more canvas decorated shoes

Last year was my year of Courage. The courage to let go of the old, not doing what I thought I ought to do, but doing what fits me. In this year, my year of Authenticity, I started on that with whole my heart. I love to teach, to train, to help people to do those things that they never thought they could be doing. So I started some classes at University on teaching and learning in organisations. But I also checked out teaching quilting and decorating shoes. And yes, I do enjoy it so much! I feel so happy that I am following my own path! And it already starts with Paducah.

Last week I was informed by AQS that my class on canvas shoes was going way faster than my class on leather shoes. So we had a chat, and we decided to replace the leather shoes class with two canvas shoes classes. So here are my classes I will be teaching in Paducah from 22-27 April:

Here is one of the new classes: cars, flowers or castles on Kid's shoes. A lot of my students mention me that they would love to learn their (grand) kids to do it, or to make them for them. With a simple technique a shoe is full of a collage of your (grand) kid's favorite subject!

I couldn't leave out the log cabin. These $1 white cheap espadrilles are now the cream of the crop! In this class you can make your own log cabin shoes, in your colors of choice.

Hand quilting in a Hoop will be on Friday evening, and you bet it will be fun!

My favorite class, as it gives all the room for creativity of my students: how to fill the patches with your own fabric creations. The greatest ideas pop up during these classes! Yes, it is a pair of shoes. But is mainly a class in setting your creativity free.

For those who are looking in awe at hexagon quilts, quilts built up from tumblers, jewels, pentagons, squares and triangles a class on English Paper Piecing. Exploring that is just so much fun!

I am very much looking forward to these classes. Hope to meet some of you there!

Have fun quilting!
