What quilting? Study and new hearing aids!

It was a busy week. Hardly at home, no quilting, long days at work, meeting friends from a few years ago who I didn't see for a year, and handling some stuff relating to a new plan for 2013.
Did you read how I liked my teaching? How I liked giving classes? How I feel like being me then? Well, I decided to go back to university and take some classes on teaching and training in organisations. This week my literature for my classes arrived. *Gasp* A stack a foot high with titles like "Work Psychology", "Learning and Training in organisations" and other exciting titles. Well, before you start something new, you have to learn the theory. One day a week free of work, so I can finish in 8 months. Looking forward to learning all that! Wish me luck. This is really because I want to do what I love!

And then my hearing aids. To some known, to some maybe not, I wear hearing aids. Not a big loss, around -50 db, but it's the soft sounds of speech I miss. I love my hearing aids, as they help me a lot. But they have to be beautiful! No beige bananas for me. I now wear, for already five years, these golden ones. Unfortunately no colors then. Luckily no beige, but nothing bright and happy.

But now, after 5 years, I need replacement, and you know what? Color is trend now! So besides the dull hair and skin tones, there is purple, green and blue. Unfortunately no patchwork ones, and painting is not an option, but I do have more choice than just gold. First of all the technique is important, because hearing well is rather complicated I my case. So that goes first, but then my color choices pop up. The hearing aids adviser had fun, me selecting hearing aids on color!

It will take a few months to find the right ones with the right settings. My first choice options are below. Both brands are well equipped for the kind of hearing loss I have, but the green ones have more options. For color: the purple ones! Let's hope one of these will be an option, so I can choose a bright color like these.

So, this week, unfortunately, no quilting. This weekend I will do some quilting and some studying. Monday you will see the results!

Have fun quilting!
