It's February, Snowing and I am preparing for Paducah

My class sample for my hand quilting class is finished quilting, and now drying to get on the binding. Here it is. Wet, marker gone, hanging in the bathroom, to get the last finish somewhere this week. Picture when it's done!

In the Netherlands is cold, including ice, snow and skates. That's not every year, so when it's there, we make full use of it. Notice I use the term "we" very loosely here. I haven't been on frozen water for years!

I took this picture when I was on my way to my Local Quilt Shop. It was a long time since I have been there, as I was in America more than once last year. I wanted to prepare the sandwiches for my hand quilting class (even my spouse, who is certainly NOT into quilting, promised to help), so I had to get myself fabric and batting for 24 students. I found my fabric and batting, but moreover, I found sale. And I am not a fabric hoarder, but after the blog about Paula Nadelstern I had to take it with me...

First this fabric, with a gradation of yellow to red, and a gradation in blue. That's great for kaleidoscopes...

Or this golden peacock print...

And this huge fan print. Looking forward to work with it!

And finally some shopping for one of my shoe classes. Some kids will get all the fun!!!

It will be a busy time, but boy, do I have fun!

Have fun quilting!
